Landon Donovan for President, Galaxy Update vs Toronto, US Open Cup
In case you have been living under a rock I thought I would post some great videos from the unbelievable goal Landon scored for the US in the 91st minute of play. What makes this even more special is the fact that, like so many other fans, I was in the dumps with the realization that we would not be going on to the next round of the World Cup.
But then from out of nowhere, Timmy Howard (Arguably the best keeper in the world… says me) threw a perfect ball to our Los Angeles Galaxy Captain, LD. Landon tore down the field to lay a perfectly weighted pass to Altidore who stuffed the ball in to Dempsey. Dempsey was blocked by the keeper and the rebound came to Landon who calmly buried it in the net.
I don’t know about your office but mine went nuts. I almost cried. You have to be proud of the boys for putting out so much effort. Oh, and by the way Bob, can you just start Buddle next game. You know our boy almost scored yesterday as soon as you brought him in.
The United States will now face off against Ghana on Saturday in the knock out round. Revenge is on hand for the RED, WHITE, & BLUE!

LA to Face TFC Saturday:
The Galaxy head to our neighbor to the North to visit Toronto on Saturday afternoon. So why not watch after the USA game. We’ll just call it a soccer Saturday! Toronto is the only team to have taken a point at the Home Depot Center this year. They held the Galaxy to a scoreless draw at the Home Depot Center on May 15th.
The Galaxy will have to do without forward Mike Magee who has been lost 4 – 6 weeks due to sports hernia surgery. Lucky for the Galaxy that this is the deepest team in the league. However, with Champions League and US Open Cup matches ahead this will definitely put some extra strain on Kirovski and Bowen.
So turn to Fox Soccer Channel at 4:30PM on Saturday to cheer on the Galaxy.

This is a cool lightbulb, but unfortunately I find very little use for it. If I was smarter I would get rid of it. But I can't!
